Ford's Octane Academy: The Ken Block Camp

Octane Academy: Ford’s ultimate fantasy camp challenge TV show where over 8,700 die-hard fans are trimmed down to four finalists, one of which will win the Ford Racing Experience of a lifetime.

Four of Ford Racing's top drivers — Ken Block, Vaughn Gittin Jr., Tanner Foust, and Brian Deegan— each chose eight contestants for their individual camps (out of 8,700+ fan-submitted application videos) to compete in a series of unique challenges to determine who would represent them in a final showdown during the Octane Academy finale.

Held at both the Snowbird ski resort and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, Ken Block’s camp consists of six unique challenges to test each contestant’s overall skills - both physically and mentally - to see who's the best driver to represent Block's camp. Check out this quick rundown of each challenge the contestants will face:

Skim or Swim: Strapping into a snowboard, and skimming across a pond full of ice water.

Snowbike Supercross: Racing snow bikes in a downhill mountain course—with no brakes.

Rally Racing - Obstacle Avoidance: Accelerating to 50 mph, then braking at the last possible second and avoiding a moving obstacle (giant beach ball) by turning into a left or right gate—all on loose gravel.

Rally Racing - Precision Driving: Performing a handbrake turn into a tight area without any car-to-wall contact.

Reaction Machine: Correctly answering trivia questions while simultaneously hitting lit lights on a reaction machine, all while Ken Block performs donuts around them in the loud and smoky Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V.

Rally Racing - Rally Course: The final challenge where last two competitors standing put all their skills to the test in a full run through a rally course on the grounds of Miller Motorsports Park.

The all-around winner of the camp takes home an all-new Ford vehicle, and gets the chance to compete in the final round against the winners of the other Ford Racing driver's camps.
