Ken Block’s Ford RaptorTRAX, aka the world’s fastest snow cat, made its backcountry debut last week with a trip to the Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, Canada. Over four days, Block and two of his Monster Energy teammates (pro snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss) used the RaptorTRAX to its full capabilities by shuttling across ridges, blasting down the mountain’s powdery faces, breaking out the built-in grill/cooler/sound system for lunch, and towing the riders across the mountain’s trail network - usually only accessible via snow cat or snowmobile - to prove the truck’s status as the world’s fastest snow cat.
Look for a full video edit (via Monster Energy), a full line of RaptorTRAX-inspired gear by Hoonigan, as well as articles from Transworld Snowboarding and Road and Track - all coming out Fall 2014. For now, enjoy the photos above, and see more photos + videos from the trip at Ken’s
